    The topic for today is "Youth cultures and styles". It's all about hair styles, clothes and why people wear them.

                            • get to know different youth cultures and styles
                            • read a magazine article about youth cultures
                            • learn what vocabulary to use when describing people and styles




    If you need help, you can go to the class forum and ask your question there. You can also answer questions from your classmates.



    • 1  Different people, different styles

      Look at the pictures. Describe them and talk together about the styles.


    • 2 Youth styles and cultures


      a) Match the pictures with the styles. 

    • b) What do you know about these styles? What other styles do you know? Sum up your ideas. Take some notes. 


    • 3  A magazine article


      a) This is an online article about youth cultures and styles.

      • Read the article.
      • Answer the questions. Choose the right box.

    • b) Write down all the words from the article you can use to describe people. Make a word web about the topic "describing people".

      c) Add more words you know or look up words online. Then add them to your word web.

You work together and collect the dictionary entries. At the end of the course, you can use it to learn for the final test.

      Start together and collect words for the topic "Youth cultures and styles".
