In this lesson, you are going to create and present a vision board for your dream job and collect necessary skills as well as requirements that are essential for competing in the global talent pool.

  You have already elaborated on the topic "workplaces of the future" as well as the meaning of the phrases "physical", "digital" and "phigital" in the previous lessons of this course.
  Choose a partner.
  Think about the topic and the phrases again and try to complete the sentence "I fear/look forward to workplaces of the future because ...".
  Share your ideas in class.
  
  Use the chat to communicate with your partner. Alternatively, you can use your school's video conference system.

  Do you know what you want to do in the future? Have you thought about jobs or decided on a career path that you want to pursue when you finish school? What do you think are your "perfect job matches", meaning the jobs you consider to be your "dream job"?
  Visualizing your ideas will help you and make your ideas more vivid and memorable to your audience.
  Create a vision board. The vision board should be a visual representation of your dreams and goals when it comes to your perfect job match. It should also contain pictures, videos and texts that represent your ideas.
  If you are not familiar with the concept of a vision board, do some research and look for examples online.

- Get together in groups and present your vision boards.
  During the presentations, make notes on similarities and differences with regard to the different vision boards as well as the effectiveness of this tool for deciding on a future career path.

- Which fields of occupation/areas of work do your vision boards belong to (for example administration, arts and entertainment, education, finance, management, media and communication, manufacturing, retail, etc.)?
  Discuss. Together, note down the different fields of occupation/areas of work and their meaning in our course glossary.

  Go back into your groups and try to generalize certain essentials or necessary skills that young professionals need to consider when choosing a future career.
  Each group member decides what they think is essential or necessary for finding and succeeding in your dream job and write their ideas down on their respective lists.
- When all of you have finished, read what the others have written.
  Then, exchange about the results and decide what you can all agree on.
  Use the discussion phrases in Lesson 3/4 of this course if necessary.
  Share your group's findings with your classmates and write down your final ideas on essentials and necessary skills.

- Reflect on your group discussions and elaborate on the following things in class:
  How would you rate your group's discussion? Was it easy to find a common denominator and aspects you all agreed on?
  How relevant are the essential skills you selected in your group with regard to the competitiveness of the global talent pool?
  Go back to the beginning of this lesson. Is your answer to the sentence "I fear/look forward to workplaces of the future because ..." still the same or has it changed in the course of this lesson? Explain why/why not.
  Think about the monetary prospects of your dream job and if money plays an important role for you when choosing a future career for the next lesson.
